(Black Athlete) Former Jackson State and SWAC golfer Shasta Averyhardt has become the first African-American woman to pass the test of LPGA qualifying school.

The 24-year-old made history just a week after Joseph Bramlett became the first African-American man in 25 years to qualify for the PGA Tour through Q-school.
